CALN TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
June 21, 2022
A work session was held at 6:30 PM to discuss items on the meeting agenda.
The Planning Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in the Municipal Building at 253 Municipal Dr. and via Zoom as a virtual meeting. A public notice was published in the Daily Local News on December 28, 2021.
The agenda was posted on the Township website and at the Township building on
May 18, 2022.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Co-Chairman, William Schew.
Salute to the Flag.
Roll Call – In attendance were William Schew, John Caporale, Jacob Bashioum, Mike Irwin and Ken Simon. John Adam Thomas and Jim Benko were not present.
Township Staff and Consultants in attendance were Raymond Stackhouse, Director of Building and Life Safety, Lowell Leaman, ARRO Consulting-Engineers, Board of Commissioners’ Liaison to the Planning Commission Lorraine Tindaro and Elizabeth Nagy, Planning Commission Secretary.
Approval of May 24, 2022 meeting Minutes – Being no questions or discussion Mr. Schew entertained a motion for approval as submitted, moved by Ken Simon and seconded by John Caporale. With no objections the motion carries.
Agenda items- Travaglini Subdivision – 4000 Hazelwood Ave.- Appearing on behalf of the applicant was Andy Eberwein of EB Walsh & Associates. There was a brief discussion about the review letter comments and the applicant requested a waiver for a Preliminary/Final plan and fee in lieu of sidewalks and for the Planning Commissions to make a Conditional Recommendation for Approval. Mr. Schew made a motion to recommend the land development for approval contingent upon a fee in lieu of sidewalks and satisfying the consultant review letters prior to the review of the Board of Commissioners. The motion was moved by Jacob Bashioum and seconded by Ken Simon. John Caporale objects. The Motion carries 4-1.

Adjournment – With no further agenda items or Commission business, Mr. Schew made a motion to adjourn the meeting, moved by Ken Simon and seconded by Jacob Bashioum. Poll of members; all ayes, motion passes 5 – 0. The meeting adjourned at 7:22 P.M.
