CALN TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
April 19, 2016
The Planning Commission held their regular meeting on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in the Caln Township Municipal Building. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairperson Dave Lamb.
Roll Call – In attendance for the Planning Commission were Dave Lamb, Jill Hammond, Ken Simon and John Robinson, Jr., Ex-Officio Member.
Also in attendance was Jeffrey W. McClintock, PE, CFM, Township Engineer and Cheryl A. Lafferty, Planning Commission Secretary.
Others in attendance were Commissioners’ Jennifer Breton and George Chambers and resident Lorraine Tindaro.
Prior to addressing the Agenda Items, a moment of silence was held in remembrance of Bob Reymos, longtime resident and community activist.
Approval of Minutes – Mr. Lamb entertained a motion to approve the minutes of the March 15, 2016 Planning Commission meeting. The motion was so moved by Mr. Simon and seconded by Mrs. Hammond. Poll: all ayes. Motion passed.
Communications – None.
Public Comment – There were no public comments.
Dwell at Caln PRD 2011 – No one in attendance. The extension agreement is valid until May 31, 2016.
Bondsville Road Apartments LD 2013 – No one in attendance. The extension agreement is valid until May 31, 2016.
1-3 Fox Avenue SD 2015 – No one in attendance. The extension agreement is valid until May 31, 2016. Applicant will appear before the Zoning Hearing Board in May for a Variance.
Hills at Thorndale Woods Final LD 2015 – No one in attendance. The extension agreement is valid until May 31, 2016.
3521 Lincoln Highway Rudy LD 2015 – In attendance were the applicants’ Mike and Elizabeth Rudy and Lou Colagreco, Esquire. The extension agreement is valid until May 31, 2016.
Brief discussion occurred, with the following being noted:
With no further discussion, Mr. Lamb entertained a motion to recommend approval of the 3521 Lincoln Highway Rudy Preliminary/Final Land Development 2015 application, contingent upon all conditions of the March 17, 2016 review letter and attachments being met.
The motion was so moved by Mrs. Hammond and seconded by Mr. Simon. Poll: all ayes
The motion passed.
Adopt a Highway – Reminder, Adopt a Highway cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 commencing at 8:00 A.M. in conjunction with Caln Pride Day. Bag totals and locations are to be reported to our office.
Floodplain Ordinance – Status same as previously discussed.
Comp Plan Update – Discussion of the Comp Plan Update was held, noting this evening’s session was cancelled and would resume in May with new representation from URDC to assist in completing the update. URDC will assign homework to the committee members prior to the meetings, for discussion and feedback at the meetings. The meeting schedule will continue in conjunction with the Planning Commission meetings, unless another night is deemed necessary.
Old Business – A Joint Meeting with various Boards was held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 7:30 P.M. in the Meeting Room. Kristin S. Camp, Solicitor conducted the Land Development over view training process.
New Business – None.
Adjournment – With no further business, Mr. Lamb entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion was so moved. The meeting adjourned at 7:15 P.M.
