CALN TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING March 15, 2022
A work session was held at 6:30 PM to discuss items on the meeting agenda.
The Planning Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 in the Municipal Building at 253 Municipal Dr. and via Zoom as a virtual meeting. A public notice was published in the Daily Local News on December 28, 2021.
The agenda was posted on the Township website and at the Township building on January 12, 2022.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman, Adam Thomas.
Salute to the Flag.
Roll Call – In attendance were John Adam Thomas, William Schew, Ken Simon, John Caporale, Jacob Bashioum, Jim Benko and Mike Irwin. .
Township Staff and Consultants in attendance were Raymond Stackhouse, Director of Building and Life Safety, Lowell Leaman, ARRO Consulting-Engineers, Board of Commissioners’ Liaison to the Planning Commission Lorraine Tindaro and Elizabeth Nagy, Planning Commission Secretary.
Approval of January 19, 2022 meeting Minutes – Being no questions or discussion Mr. Thomas entertained a motion for approval as submitted, moved by Ken Simon and seconded by Jacob Bashioum. With no objections the motion carries.
Agenda items- The Willows at Valley Run Land Development- John Jaros of Riley Riper Hollin & Colagreco, Chris Daily of DL Howell & Associates and John Randolph of MBID of Delaware appeared on behalf of The Willows. They gave an overview of the Phasing of the project. A representative from Septa discussed the bus shelter requirement. A rendering provided to show how the apartments will look.
2022 Meeting Procedures- Planning Commission meetings will be hybrid meetings for the foreseeable future. An overview of the Zoom Room was given.
Communications – There was a brief discussion about Caln Clean Up Day and Adopt a Highway. Available Planning Commission members will meet at 10:00am am Saturday March 19, 2022 to perform clean-up operations on Kings Highway.

Adjournment – With no further agenda items or Commission business, Mr. Thomas made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by John Caporale. Poll of members; all ayes, motion passes 7 – 0. The meeting adjourned at 7:50 P.M.
