Since 1982, Caln Township has been "twinned" with the town of Calne in Wiltshire, England (from where Caln's first settlers originated). For the past 35 years, twinning committees from both countries have organized trips and activities to deepen this special relationship. This week, representatives from Caln Township - Jennifer Breton (Board of Commissioners President), Kristen Denne (Caln Township Manager), and Barry Beech (Chair of the Caln Twinning Committee) are visiting Calne. They are being hosted by members of the Calne twinning group who have arranged a full schedule of tours and events. Day one will include a memorial service for Tom DiFroscia, former chair of the Caln twinning group. For updates on the trip, follow Commissioner Breton's blog at http://calnpatocalneuk.weebly.com/ The Caln twinning group is always looking for new members who are interested in hosting, planning, traveling and building relationships with our friends in England.
