In an effort to recruit new members, and retain the ones that we have, Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company has recently received a federally funded grant to assist with various ways in reaching out to our residents making them aware of our need.
You may have recently driven the route 30 bypass between route 322 and route 340 and noticed an ad on the electronic sign board between A1 Mulch and the Storage Sheds. This was just one of the ways were are reaching out to potential volunteers. Another means of recruitment are yards signs that we have begun posting throughout the township. Besides volunteering yourself, another way that you can assist with our cause is to obtain one of these yard signs and post it in your yard or in front of your business for your friends and neighbors to see.
These signs are double sided with a short message asking for volunteers to reach out to us. The signs are short in stature with different messages to get the passerby’s attention. The signs are FREE to our residents and business owners. If you would be interested in either volunteering or helping get the word out, you can obtain these signs from the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company at 3611 E. Lincoln Highway or sending an e-mail to [email protected]. In addition signs are available at the Caln Township building, 253 Municipal Drive. You can also contact the township by calling 610-384-0600 X157. We will be glad to deliver.
We need your help.
Thank you. The Recruitment Committee, Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company, Inc.
