Caln Township has contracted with MOR Construction to improve the swale along Barley Sheaf Road. The project consists of tree removals, regrading the existing swale, installing new stormwater headwalls for the storm sewer pipes, and adding riprap to the swale. The project will start near North Barley Sheaf Road and extend along Barley Sheaf Road to Irwin Drive.
On Friday, January 20th additional trees will be removed from the project site. To facilitate the removal of these trees, Barley Sheaf Road will be closed from 9 AM to 3 PM from North Barley Sheaf Road to Allison Lane. The road closure is necessary for PECO to de-energize the power lines and to protect the workers during the tree removals. Residents who live within the project limits will be able to access their properties during the road closure, however there may be delays due to the construction equipment that is being utilized for the tree removals. We ask for your patience and cooperation while this work is being conducted.
The estimated start date for construction is Monday, February 6th. Work hours will be 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. We estimate the project will last approximately 3-4 weeks. Access restrictions may occur intermittently throughout the project. We will work with you to make sure you are able to access your property. MOR will make every attempt to minimize delays during construction.
