Mr. Mullin called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM
Minutes of the June 25, 2018 Meeting
Mr. Mullin called for additions or corrections to the June minutes. There were none. After discussion, Mr. Chambers motioned, seconded by Mr. Disario, to adopt the June 25, 2018 minutes, as presented. Vote passed 4- 0 and 1 abstained.
Public Comment
Mr. Mullin called for public comments. There were none.
Dogwood/Scott Drive Project Update
Mr. Gill informed the board to date we received payment for 20 Tapping Fees and to date 11 connections made. Furthermore, Mr. Gill presented signed copies of the Grinder Pump Operation and Maintenance Agreement for the properties that will need signed by the chairman. Mr. Disario made a motion seconded by Mr. Contento to authorize the Chairman to sign the Operation and Maintenance Agreement for Grinder Pump System for 1206 Blackhorse Hill Road, 1114 Scott Drive, 533 Dogwood Lane, 520 Dogwood Lane and 1335 Skyline Drive. Voted passed 5-0
119 Turnberry Drive Encroachment Agreement
Mr. Gill presented an encroachment agreement and explained that Mr. and Mrs. Sterling at 119 Turnberry Drive are planning on installing a fence around their backyard. In order to be able to proceed with their permit, they are required to get the Authority’s approval to encroach into the Sanitary Sewer Easement. If the board is in agreement a motion is needed to authorize the chairman to sign the Agreement to Encroach into Sewer Easement between CTMA and Mr. and Mrs. Sterling of 119 Turnberry Drive. Mr. Contento made a motion, seconded by Mr. Chamber to authorize the chairman sign the Agreement to encroach into sewer Easement. Voted passed 5.0
Dwell (Arbor Hills) Update
Mr. Gill, mentioned that Mr. Pompo and the attorney representing Dwell are drafting an addendum to the current agreement which will be presented at the CTMA’s August meeting, which will request an extension of the payment terms in the current agreement along with the payment of the $210,000 for an additional 1 year period. After discussion the board requested that language be added to the amendment to allow the board to demand immediate payment in full by Arbor Hills during the one year extension of the Arbor Hills Sewer Contribution upon notice from the Authority.
Financials; Sewer Operating Fund, Act 57 Fund, and Delinquency Reports
Mr. Gill reviewed the cash basis summary and detailed accrual reports of revenue and expenditures for the Sewer Operating Fund, Municipal Authority’s Tapping Fee Account, and Capital Fund for the month of June 2018. After discussion Mr. Chambers made a motion and seconded by Mr. Disario to approve the June 2018 financials, as submitted. Vote passed 5-0.
Mr. Gill reviewed and discussed the current delinquency report for the month of June, reflecting current year accounts past due, prior year’s outstanding balances sent to Portnoff Law Associates for collection, and the status of commercial in house collection.
Directors Report
Mr. Gill discussed his June, 2018 department report and noted a list of current projects which the Department is working on, and their progress.
Adjournment
There being no further business, Mr. Chambers made a motion, and seconded by Mrs. Bernard to adjourn the July, 2018 meeting at 7:40pm. Vote passed 5-0.
