- Old business
- 2019 Group Trips – Abbey presented the survey results from our Facebook bus trip survey. The group discussed the number, timing, and destination of trips for 2019. Abbey will try to schedule the following trips: NYC – end of May/early June, Atlantic City (with casino package) - October, NYC – December 7th. We will look into Brandywine Hospital or the High School for parking, assuming Kmart isn’t available. Abbey will look into online payment options to streamline the process.
- 2019 Events Schedule – The group looked at the upcoming event schedule for the year. We discussed whether or not we want to do another 5k this year. Josh mentioned that the Color Run is interested in coming back to Caln.
- Tree-lighting debrief: the bon fire and bar cart were terrific. The Girl Scout troop was very helpful at the kids’ party. We used our small new speaker which wasn’t loud enough – next year we’ll use the larger one and create a script for announcements and thank you’s. For the party, we need to make sure to have two coloring circles for each ball. The group would like the tree to be professionally trimmed.
- New Business
- Summer series - Abbey will buy two bins for popcorn for the summer series. She will make sure that Chico’s vibe is reserved for three hours this year.
- State Ethics Forms need to be completed by the next meeting.
- Abbey has been meeting with the Brandywine Conservancy about the Beaver Creek Trail feasibility study. They have secured a one-year grant to complete the study.
- Abbey will provide list of open positions including terms.
