This grant will go towards developing the section of the trail that will run from Mary Street Field in Downingtown Borough to Lloyd Park. Included in the construction will be stormwater management measures, pedestrian bridge, landscaping, ADA access, project signage, and other related improvements. This, along with the $250,000 Open Space Preservation and Park Improvement Grant awarded to Caln from Chester County Government in February, mark a huge milestone for the creation of this trail!
Beaver Creek Trail is planned to be a three-mile long trail between Downingtown and Thorndale, helping to facilitate better pedestrian and bicycle travel. This trail is also represents the future of the Chester Valley Trail.
Thank you to Senator Katie Muth, Rep. Dan Williams , and Rep. Danielle Friel Otten for their support of our grant and the creation of the Beaver Creek Trail!
