Special Meeting for the Draft Historic Preservation Ordinance Set for Wednesday, April 1, 20253/10/2026
Caln Township will be hosting another special meeting to review the draft Historic Preservation Ordinance. Historic Preservation Ordinances are local laws intended to protect historic buildings, structures, and districts from demolition and incompatible development. The purpose of this draft ordinance is to maintain historic character, foster civic pride, and strengthen the economy through preservation.
This meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 1 at 6:30 PM in the Township Building Meeting Room. If any person who wishes to attend and has a disability and/or requires auxiliary aid, service or other accommodations to observe or participate, they should call the Township at 610-384-0600. This project continues to work towards strengthening the electric system, helping to better withstand storms, improve reliability, and support the adoption of cleaner energy.

Clean up supplies and a gift certificate to Midway will be provided to all volunteers - both groups and individuals are encouraged to sign up! In honor of America's 250th birthday this year, let's celebrate and make this year's clean up the best one yet! To sign up for a time slot(s), please click the button below. NOTICE: Tax rebate submissions cannot be processed unless the taxes are paid on your property for 2026 AND you have applied for and received confirmation of eligibility from Chester County as you will need to submit this to Caln Township along with your Caln Township Rebate request form. In December 2024, the Caln Township Board of Commissioners enacted a tax rebate program for volunteer members of fire companies and not-for-profit emergency service agencies. Further details are provided in Ordinance 2024-08. Eligibility for this program is based on eligibility for Chester County's Emergency Responder Tax Rebate Program.
