2025 Caln Clean Up Weekend Results

Thanks to our amazing volunteers, Caln Community Clean Up Weekend 2025 was a success!! Here are some quick stats from the weekend:
116 Volunteers
189 bags of trash collected
13 tires
1 mattress
1 cellphone
and a whole bunch of plastic bags!
None of this would have been possible without our wonderful volunteers - they worked hard all weekend to help clean up the place that we call home (and even got to stuff some Easter eggs for our Egg Hunt on the 19th)
We want to give a special thanks to Midway Grill for sponsoring our Caln Community Clean up Weekend, as well as to Breathe Community Church, Cub Scouts Pack 134, and Coatesville Air Force JROTC PA 771 for coming out to help!

CPR and STOP THE BLEED Training - May 24, 2025

Join the Caln Township Firefighters, Thorndale Fire Company, and Minquas Fire Company No. 2 in celebrating National EMS Week and STOP THE BLEED Month with this FREE event! From 10AM - 12PM on May 24th, free CPR and STOP THE BLEED training will be offered. The class will be held at the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Company (3611 Lincoln Highway, Thorndale, PA)

Volunteer Emergency Responder Tax Rebate

NOTICE: Tax rebate submissions cannot be processed unless the taxes are paid on your property for 2025 AND you have applied for and received confirmation of eligibility from Chester County as you will need to submit this to Caln Township along with your Caln Township Rebate request form.

In December 2024, the Caln Township Board of Commissioners enacted a tax rebate program for volunteer members of fire companies and not-for-profit emergency service agencies. Further details are provided in Ordinance 2024-08. Eligibility for this program is based on eligibility for Chester County's Emergency Responder Tax Rebate Program.

To apply, complete the form available here and email it, along with proof of eligibility for the County's program (confirmation notice, check stub, etc.) to Lisa Swan at [email protected].

Spring Chipping Registration Starts April 1st

Dear Residents,

Beginning April 1, 2025, residents can call in to the Public Works Dept. 610.384.0600 ext.140 to put their address on the Spring Chipping list. You may call in the entire month of April to register. On May 1, 2025, Chipping will begin in the township for the month of May, Chipping trucks will come around to chip the branches that are left neatly at curbside. Residents, please follow branch size dimension 6" in diameter no greater, no more than 5 piles, no stumps. as stated online. Each address will be limited to 15minutes, NO Exceptions.
