- New Business
- Art in the Park – Liz and Kim Jackson presented their idea for a new art program (Art in the Park) to take place two days each month throughout the summer. The group agreed to schedule art days in Municipal Park on The event will be “drop-in” but parents will need to stay with their kids. The projects will be adaptable for all different ages. Abbey will meet with Kim and Liz to figure out specific dates and details.
- Egg Hunt planning – The group should arrive at 11am to start set up and hide the eggs. Abbey will try to find a vest for the bunny. Instead of “guess the number of jelly beans” we decided to do peeps instead. Abbey will bring the photo booth and bench and the PA system to make announcements.
- Clean Up Weekend planning – board members selected shift to captain for the Clean Up Weekend locations/times.
- Summer Series Planning – June 21 (Mutant Mayhem) with a pizza party and martial arts demos, July 19 (The Lorax) with a Truffula tree art project and environmental programming. We could use the golf course for a rain location for the movie nights.
- Pop up events – Abbey and Don will look into liability issues for pop-up events or events held at the golf course.
- Clean Up Crew captains – Abbey has engaged the public works crews to serve as flaggers for our more difficult clean up locations. Isabel will do the 18th, Brett and Abbey will do the 8th. We’ll figure out other shifts at a future meeting.
