Offices closed to the public - Emergency declaration
The township has declared a public health local disaster emergency (click here to view the declaration). In an effort to protect the health of the citizens of Caln Township, township employees, and officials, the Caln Municipal Building and Police Station will be closed to the public beginning Monday, March 16. Township employees will be available via phone and email to help maintain our usual level of service as much as possible.
Eagle Disposal Modifications (updated 4/24/2020)
All Township Police Department offices are closed to the public until further notice: For an emergency dial 911. There is also an emergency call box located at the main entrance of the Police Department. Non-emergency, you may call 610-383-7000, administrative staff and staff phone directory 610-383-1821. Permits and Inspections
Township meetings will be held remotely via Zoom. If you'd like to attend either online or by phone, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 610-384-0600 x148 for instructions on how to participate. Many non-essential meetings have been cancelled, but you can see the calendar of upcoming meetings at www.calntownship.org/events.html
The Board of Commissioners has extended the property tax discount rate to June 30, 2020 and the face rate to August 31, 2020.

Parks and Golf Course
Beginning Friday, May 1st, Caln Township will begin opening our parks to passive recreation. The dog park will remain closed until further notice. Visitors will be required to practice social distancing. We will be following guidance from the CDC which includes the following:
-Visit parks that are close to your home
-Prepare before you visit (bring hand sanitizer, masks, water, etc. restrooms are closed)
-Stay at least 6 feet away from others (“social distancing”) and take other steps to prevent COVID-19
-Visit parks if you are sick or were recently exposed to COVID-19
-Visit crowded parks
-Participate in organized activities or sports.
What this means for Caln Parks: playgrounds, restrooms, the dog park, and pavilions will remain closed until Chester County has been moved to the green phase of re-opening. Sports courts will be open to people living within the same household. We will be monitoring compliance and may make changes to this policy.
