CALN TOWN WATCHCaln Town Watch is a group of your fellow citizens who are dedicated to keeping our children, property, neighborhoods, and community safe from crime.
Caln Town Watch is not a complicated organization with specialized training requirements. Our purpose is simply to be an additional set of active eyes and ears for the Caln Township Police Department. The Caln Police officers are sincerely appreciative of our assistance. They cannot be everywhere at once and Town Watch volunteers assist them in keeping Caln safe. We do not become directly involved in law enforcement nor intervene with a possible illicit activity. Installing Town Watch yard signs or the act of patrolling with Town Watch signage on our cars or clothing is also a deterrent to unlawful activity. Those with mischief on their minds are discouraged by resident awareness and will most often move on rathar than trouble a community where they must constantly be looking over their shoulder. While on patrol we also note other Township concerns such as trash spillage, blocked storm drains, and traffic light malfunctions. These are also reported so that the appropriate township department can respond. Want to join us? Just print out the attached application form and drop it at the police station, township office or with one of our volunteers. |
